bilingual practice
Two specialisms. One firm.
Not a broad firm doing a bit of everything — a niche practice that masters two fields to the core, in English and Dutch.
For employers & employees
Employment law
Dismissal, reorganisation, contracts, non-compete clauses, sick-employee rules and the position of the statutory director — the full field of Dutch employment law.

The distinctive niche
Sports law
For employers in sport and for athletes: employment, disciplinary, liability and contract law — with genuine knowledge of how the sports world works.
Discover the sports practice
Dismissal & reorganisation
Individual and collective dismissal under Dutch law, settlement agreements, reorganisations and restructuring — including the court and UWV routes, severance and transition payments.
Contracts & terms of employment
Drafting and reviewing Dutch employment contracts, changing terms of employment, and non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality clauses.
Illness & working conditions
The strict Dutch rules on sick employees: two years of continued salary, reintegration obligations, UWV sanctions — plus working conditions and employer liability after workplace accidents.
Susanne Habets, attorney-at-law
Susanne Habets has been a member of the Dutch Bar since 1999. She spent some fifteen years with the firm Thuis & Partners, specialising in employment law, before founding her own firm on 1 September 2015.
Clients choose the firm for its combination of specialist knowledge and a personal approach: short lines, plain language, and a lawyer who handles the case herself. The aim is always a businesslike, practical solution with the client's interests first.
